How to pick out the perfect outfit for 4th of July
June 27, 2020/
Happy Saturday! I am running a tad bit late on my post this week but I promise I am still here! Life is crazy over here with everything going on around our house and I am struggling to juggle it all, but I am determined to finish our bathroom project so that we can move on to the nursery! Definitely a little bit of nesting going on over here, but mostly a whole lot of catching up on our procrastination issues lol.
I have spent quite a bit of time over the last couple of days finishing up the painting in our bathroom and it is looking SO good! I had some minor problems with the painters tape pulling the paint off of the ceiling (ughh, dang humidity) but it is looking much better with the touch ups I did this morning! I promise that a post will be coming as soon as it is done, and I hope that will be very soon!
Alright, enough about that. Let’s talk 4th of July! When it comes to picking out holiday outfits I tend to wait until the day of and have to rush to pull together an outfit. So I decided to throw together a simple and super easy guide that can help people, such as myself, that struggle to decide what to wear! Scroll down to check out all of the super cute pieces I picked out that would be perfect for the 4th of July! I also pieced together a few outfits with some of the pieces that I would wear! Everything below is very affordable and can be worn for the 4th and all through the rest of Summer! You can click the pictures in the slider to go straight to that item if interested and you can even see the price if you hover your mouse over the pictures!

Step 1: Decide on your outfit base
Once you pick out your outfit base the rest is so much easier in my opinion, that is why I put this step first! But maybe you have an accessory that you know you are going to wear, you can easily style the outfit around that as well!
Below I linked a bunch of super cute options for dresses, rompers, and even your classic shorts and a tee! You will see mostly blue and red options but I added in a few of my personal faves, some good ol’ neutrals! Since I own so much neutral colored clothing I tend to use those and add the pops of color in with my accessories!
Whatever option you end up going with, you can’t go wrong!
Option One: Dress
Option Two: Romper/Jumpsuit/Overalls
Option Three: Shorts and Shirt
Step 2: Shoes, Shoes, Shoes!
Sandals or white shoes are my favorite way to dress any outfit. I linked some of my favorites that I have in my closet, plus some other great options! You can easily add in your pop of color here, I mean look at how cute those red espadrille sandals are! Yes please!
Step 3: Accessories!
This is a great way to make you outfit fun and festive! Whether that be with a headband, sunglasses, hat, jewelry, bag, or all of the above! I tried to link some fun and cute options below for y’all. I personally am loving the heart shaped sunglasses, so cute!
Step 4: Cute Swimsuits (optional)
This step is obviously dependent on whether you will be near water or not! But you can never go wrong with a patriotic suit. I included some cute cover ups too, because you can’t have a cute suit without a cute cover up, am I right?! Plus, check out those prices! WHATTTTT!
Here are a couple of looks I put together from the items above 🙂
I hope you were able to at least get some good ideas for your fun 4th of July outfit! What is everyone’s plans for the 4th?! It is definitely going to be a weird year for it with no firework gatherings and what not. We still have no plans but I’m sure we will figure out something soon! Either way, I hope everyone has a fun and safe 4th of July!
